State Check List

My main goal is to run a half marathon in every state so here you will find not only those half marathon runs but also 5k, 10k, and even triathlon races I’ve completed.

Want to read my race review? Click on the title of the race and it will bring you straight to my review for that race!

On the map you’ll find states in which I’ve completed either a 5k, half marathon, or both.

Nice! I’m sure it took you next to no time in making that map, and it’s going to work just as well as mine. Oh, well. Looks like you’re dominating the South. I like that you had one race in Washington state, as far as you can get from NC without going to Hawaii or Alaska. I for one can’t wait to tackle the Pacific Northwest.

I went to visit a friend in Washington and there just so happened to be a st. patty’s run the weekend I was up there so I took my chance while I had it. The map is filling up slowly but surely. 🙂 Thanks again!

Ah! I just started a half-in-every-state goal myself! I love your map. I might need to start a similar page for my blog. (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, no?)
I just checked Alabama off my list. 🙂

You mentioned doing a guest post about a recent race in Washington, but it looks like you’ve got quite a few in Virginia and in North Carolina. If that’s your home turf, I could use material for those states, too! (I’ll cover all states eventually, so whichever one you want to write about would work for me! Send me a note at coffeeb123 (at) yahoo (dot) com.)

Hey Beth! Congrats on completing your race in Alabama!! I would definetly suggest doing a map like this! After I made it I was amazed at my progress. I knew how many states I had completed but to physically see it on a map was great motivation!
what kind of information do you want to know about these races? (to be honest i’ve never done a guest post before but I’ve heard about them…). Let me know and I’ll be happy to send you a note. 🙂

I’ve got a goal like this too! I think we both actually found the same map! Just kinda started “my states” this past year. So fun! It’s definitely encouraging me to be selective about my races and travel! 🙂 Good Luck!

Awesome work so far! Saw your follow of 50in100 on twitter and thought you might get a kick out of seeing the races we have done: (50 states in 100 total hours).
    Happy running

Oh boy…I like your goal! Never really thought about doing something like that. But you’ve inspired me. I’ve only got 5 states in….but 4 countries if you count the US. Anyway, I’ll be following you. I hope you can check out my new blog sometime. It is about running and travel.
